The Salmon bite picked up for the few anglers who did go up the coast looking for the fish. There were a few fish caught up near 36'56/122'10 but the best report was near 36'52/122'06. The anglers who worked near 3 Trees caught 4 Salmon from 12-20 pounds. They were fishing in 290-310 feet of water and catching fish 120-150 feet down. The anglers were trolling Cable Baited Anchovies and Cop Car Kajikis. The wind was down all morning but the wind did come up in the afternoon around 11:00. There were no reports from the Soquel Hole due to the quantity of Jellyfish in the area. The Halibut scores are getting better daily so you may want to give it a try. I weighed in some nice Halibut everyday this week. Anglers have been catching Halibut with live bait, Dead Squid, Dead Sardines, Hair Razors, and Fish Traps. The Rockcod fishing is still holding strong on the local reefs.

The Rockcod was good near Capitola in 45 feet of water. The water was nice in the morning but the wind did come up. ...... Read More
