The fishing remains very good from Zihuatanejo and according to Captain Temo Verboonen, the sailfish have moved a little farther offshore but the big dorado are right at the current lines between the clean and murky waters. The dorado are biting well on live bait but so are the sharks and according to Temo, there's a lot of hooks being lost to the sharks. The inshore fishing has fluctuated a bit during the past week and depended on just how rough the waters were in close to shore as to how close one could get. If you were too far away, the fish wouldn't cooperate at all. However, on the days that allowed for close to the beach proximity along the white sandy beaches, the roosterfish and big jack crevalle were pretty eager to bite. Overall, it was a good fishing week for the boats and there is an excellent supply of bait availability to attract the fish and hold them, right along the current lines.

IZ Climate: Mostly warm and cloudy days with temps that ranged from 70 nights to 91 daytime highs, accompanied by mostly light and variable surface breezes.

Sea Conditions: Still good with some days a little too rough to fish the inshore critters, but just fine to fish the offshore areas for the dorado and the sailfish. Sea temps are stable and holding well at 86 degrees from inshore to offshore waters and once you have passed the current line, the clarity of the water is excellent.

Best Fishing Area: The billfish are out to the 10 mile mark or so and outbound from there and the dorado are right along the current lines between the clean and dirty water.

Best Bait/Lure: Live bait has been best for the most part, especially for the dorado and the sailfish and of course, for the jack crevalle and roosterfish, too.

Bait Supply: Remains very good for the area and offers good live bait availability for all the boats.
