On Jan. 5, the pond was mostly covered under three inches of clear ice. There were a few holes drilled on the south side, where people had been fishing. There was some open water on the north side of the reservoir, next to the inlet and against the shore. If you venture out, we recommend staying south of the bridge and using extreme caution. Daytime temperatures have been heating up, which can melt the ice very quickly.
