Officer T.J. Robertson reported fair fishing for trout with worms, silver spoons, or gold and silver Jake's lures. At the north end, anglers were doing well with spinners where the creek flowed into the lake. On May 24, two anglers posted a report on BigFishTackle.com, saying they caught a total of four kokanee, five cutthroats and one tiger. The biggest cutthroat was 13 inches. The biggest kokanee was 11 inches. They used Rocky Mountain tackle tipped with squid. The anglers saw big schools of kokanee stacked in the dam bay at 80–100 feet down. They caught their fish at depths ranging from five to 30 feet.
