Unfortunately, the offshore fishing report for this week from
Mazatlan, is by far the worst report we have ever offered for that
area and for whatever reason, there is simply no valid explanation.
Water temps are still good, clarity is fine, plenty of feed biomass
but no fish to report and very few anglers fishing, too. The offshore
fish report for 9 days reflected a total of 4 dorado for their
efforts and the boats scanned the offshore areas far & wide from
about 20 miles and on out from there and both, north & south. While
the inshore fishing was pretty good and offered fair action for the 7
days fished, it was not up to par there, either. The inshore boats
reflected 6 roosterfish, (3 released) 25 pargo, 1 toro, 82 cochitos,
6 mojarres and 5 sierra.
Mazatlan Climate: Mostly sunny and warm days with temps from 53
nights to 82 daytime highs.
Sea Conditions: Overall, very good, mostly calm, temps at 78 degrees
and stable out to about 30 miles and falling to 76 at the temp break
from there.
Best Fishing Areas: None reported
Best Lure/Bait: Not reported

However, it was another very slow week for billfish and anglers, too. The chances for a billfish fell to about a 20% ratio for the week and at a time of year when it's normally...... Read More
