The overall average for billfish continues to hold at one per boat per fishing day and the high boatt for the week was the "Gaviota IV", skippered by Captain Octavio Castillo, with 3 stripers released for a single day and the week's only wahoo. Only half of the boats returned with dorado catches and the "Gaviota IX", skippered by Captain Jorge Ruiz, had the only yellowfin tuna. The overall combined fish reports for 12 days fished reflected 12 stripers released, 12 dorado, 1 wahoo and 5 yellowfin tuna.

Cabo Climate: Partly cloudy days and going to mostly sunny by the weekend. Temps from 72 nights to 96 daytime highs.

Sea Conditions: Water is warming on both sides of the peninsula and ranges from 74 on the Pacific side and rises to 86 just outside of Cabo and into the Sea of Cortez. Excellent clarity on the Sea of Cortez side.

Best Lure/Bait: A few billfish rising to the lures but taking the live bait dropped back on the "bait & switch" method.

Best Fishing Area: Continues to be close to Cabo, from Cabeza de Ballena, (Gray Rock) to Chileno Bay and 3-7 miles offshore.

Live Bait Supply: Remains very good for the caballitos.
