A couple of bad weather days resulted in a 2 day port closure for the fleet and hampered the fishing results but following the windy conditions, the fish returned to their normal good bite mode throughout the area. The overall fish counts for the 22 days fished reflected a mixed bag catch of 15 species, including 1 blue marlin, 7 sailfish, 12 dorado, 2 wahoo, 8 blackfin tuna, 1 king mackerel, 3 Spanish mackerel, 1 amberjack, 1 giant Atlantic barracuda, 60 bonito, 1 triggerfish, 1 porgy, 3 strawberry fish, 2 banana fish and 20 mixed snappers.
PM Climate: Partly cloudy but warm days with temps that varied from 76 nights to 86 daytime highs.
Sea Conditions: Temps have increased to a stable 80-81 degrees all over the area. Surface breezes continue at 10-20 mph from the easterly directions along with some wind chop and more difficult fishing conditions for some of the anglers.
Best Bait/Lure: The bait supply continues to be plentiful and the ballyhoo remains the bait of choice for all the skippers in this area.
