This past week, "Fish Cabo" reported in with 17 stripers, all released and 14 dorado for six days fished and this was followed by the "Gaviota X", reflecting 14 stripers and 15 dorado for their 6 days fished. The counts were back up for the week and the better catches came from the Migrino area, inshore from the Golden Gate Bank. However, good fishing was found in several areas along the Pacific side that extended from Cabo Falso & Herradura area and even out to the Jaime Bank. The overall fishing conditions remained very good for the anglers and the combined fishing reports reflected catches t6hat included 71 stripers, (68 released) 72 dorado, 2 wahoo, 16 yellowfin tuna and 3 skipjack tuna. While the dorado numbers have slowed a bit, the quality has improved and the fish being caught were up to 40-lbs.

Cabo Climate: Partly cloudy days with intermittent sunshine and temps that range from a coolish 59 nights to 82 daytime highs.

Sea Conditions: Light & variable surface breezes to 13 mph. On the Pacific side, from Todos Santos southerly to the 1000 curve and extending from the coastline to 7 miles offshore is holding at 80-81 degrees. Outside 7 miles the temps reduce t 77-78 degrees. From Cabo Falso, around to Cabo San Lucas and up to Las Frailes in the Sea of Cortez, the temps rise to 81-82 degrees. All areas are experiencing good water clarity.

Best Fishing Area: Right now, there are a handful of good places to fish and range from the Cabo Falso drop Off, Herradura, Jaime Bank, Margaritas and Migrino, all on the Pacific side of Cabo.

Best Lure/Bait: Live bait is working best in all areas but there are good results on the lures, also.

Live Bait Supply: Remains excellent and even better, a few Pacific greenback mackerel are now showing up in the bait supply and that will probably reflect an influx in the striped marlin action for the coming weeks.
