Local angler Jason Mills reported good fishing. He fished with 10 family members and the group caught about 30 fish total. Fishing success came in waves. Multiple people would get a bite at the same time for 30 minutes, then it would slow down. The ice was seven or eight inches thick, but the edges had receded enough that they had to use a ladder to get from the shore to the ice. Because of the warm weather, we don't recommend venturing out on the ice right now. But it also means that open water fishing is just around the corner.
