A good action week from the Aries Sportfishing Fleet at the Marina El Cid, in Mazatlan. For the first time in months and months, we had the entire fleet out fishing and the fish counts reflected the increased activity. Overall fish counts for a total of 54 fished days reflected 5 blue marlin, (all under 350 lbs.) 4 striped marlin, 19 sailfish, 1 hammerhead shark, 8 dorado and 1 yellowfin tuna. The inshore super pangas had another banner fishing week that reflected 2 black snook, (40-inchers), 1 dorado, 2 corvina, 2 pampano, 25 Sierra, 29 cochitos, 10 roncanchos and limits of mojarres for a total of 6 days fished. It was good, fast action for the anglers, with a steady bite most of the day.

High boat for the week was the "Gaviota V", skippered by Captain Victor Cota, with 15 stripers released for...... Read More
