Another excellent fishing week from Puerto Morelos that continued with the early season billfish action that included 7 sailfish for the anglers. It truly appears that this will be one of those banner fishing seasons for billfish in this area which doesn't get to it's full momentum for another 6 weeks or so. However, we have already seen a blue marlin and a white marlin, along with sailfish, all showing early this year and that tends to reflect one of those unusual fishing seasons to follow. We'll see. This past week reflected a 15 fish mixed bag variety for the anglers that included 7 sailfish, 1 blackfin tuna, 5 dorado, 2 giant Atlantic barracuda, 57 bonito, (the fish of the week) 1 jack crevalle, 2 amberjack, 6 grumpy fish, (a bottom, grouper like fish) 28 snappers, 7 banana fish, 12 triggerfish, 13 soap fish, 2 porgy, 2 amberjack and 3 strawberry fish.

PM Climate: Partly cloudy but warm and comfortable days and evenings with temps that ranged from 71 nights to 88 daytime highs.

Sea Conditions: Water temps still holding and stable at 79 degrees. Sea surface conditions remain good with surface breezes from the easterly directions at 5-15 mph.

Best Bait/Lure: The ballyhoo remains the bait of choice and continues to be provided fresh on a daily basis.
