According to Captain Temo Verboonen, owner of the Secuestro de Amor, the fishing remains very good throughout the area, with excellent catches for the sailfish and dorado and with the really good action starting at about the 10-mile mark. Te inshore fishing remained good for the roosterfish and there is still really good fishing for the dorados that have been swimming with the schools of bonitos. We did get rain this past week from the passing storm and it was much needed. The weather remains at about a 50% chance for thunderstorms for the rest of the week but without much surface wind. Still seeing some higher seas from the passing of Hurricane Cosme but that should reside shortly, as the full moon diminishes. Overall, the fishing remains very good and for both, inshore and offshore fishing and there doesn't appear to be any changes on the near horizon.

IZ Climate: Mostly cloudy days with some rain and thunderstorms and temps that ranged from 65 nights to 92 daytime highs and a little humid.

Sea Conditions: The inshore temps holding about 85 and the offshore temps holding at about 87 degrees, with excellent water clarity at about the 10-mile mark, very close to where the fishing action begins. Surface winds are now at the 5-15 mph ranges and are likely to remain in the light and variable, ( favorable) mode for the next week. We did have some bigger sea conditions earlier in the week that have now subsided.

Best Bait/Lure: The billfish and offshore dorado still favoring the rigged baits but live bait would work well, too. The inshore roosterfish still liking the pencil poppers and as always, they truly favor well presented and slow trolled live baits.

Bait Supply: Continues to be readily available for both, fresh rigging baits and live baits. Live bait still offered at about $5.00 per dozen.
