Lots of rain reported from Zihuatanejo by Captain Temo Verboonen, with rain beginning last Sunday and raining almost continuously through Tuesday evening. Right now, the weather is near perfect and the boats will probably begin to fish again tomorrow morning. Before the rains, the dorado were building up just a mile or so out front of the Bay and kept the anglers busy. The sailfish have slowed but probably due to the recent full moon and the barometric pressure changes in this area. The inshore fishing has all but come to a complete stop as the river mouths are all flowing fresh and murky waters causing the roosterfish, jacks and Sierra to move to cleaner waters and other areas.

IZ Climate: Lots of rain from Sunday through Tuesday and then back to beautiful days and great weather. Sunny & warm today with temps that ranged from 73 nights to 93 daytime highs. Surface breezes flowing in from the southerly and westerly directions to 13 MPH.

Sea Conditions: Other than hard rain, only one day of windy conditions. Sea temps are excellent at 85-87 degrees and good clarity from justt a few miles off shore.

Best Fishing Area: None to report until the boats get back to fishing and re-locate the schools of fish.

Best Lure/Bait: Rigged baits were best bet for the sailfish and will likely be best once the boats get back into action.

Bait Supply: Good bait supply for both, live bait and fresh caught baits for rigging for billfish and dorado.
