The fishing and catching from Puerto Morelos is pretty much unchanged for the past week and there is still a good chance to land a sailfish and a blue marlin for those anglers that elect to take a 6-8-hour charter fishing day. While our boats didn't land any blue marlin this week, there were several boats that did and we know they are still available. It's still that mixed-bag catch type of fishing that tends to change with every strike and that's one of the fun things about this area. The angler never knows what the next bite is going to provide. This past week's reports reflected a 14 fish variety for 25 days fished that included 8 sailfish, 21 bonito, 11 giant barracuda, 1 rainbow runner, 1 king mackerel, 3 blackfin tuna, 5 needle fish, 2 Spanish mackerel, 1 pilot fish, 30 snappers, 11 soap fish, 46 trigger fish, 8 strawberry fish and 33 banana fish.

PM Climate: Mostly cloudy for the early part of the week, sunny and clear on Thursday & Friday & back to cloudy over the weekend. Temps ranged from 75 nights to 89 daytime highs.

Sea Conditions: Water temps stable at 84 degrees all over the area. Surface breezes flowing from the easterly directions to 9 mph. Overall, it's very fishable weather with mostly calm seas.

Best Bait: The ballyhoo continues to be the bait of choice on a daily basis for all of the boats and anglers. A variety of bait sizes are provided each morning, allowing for a selection of baits for the anglers.
