Another wet week in Mazatlan as the summer rains continue all along the eastern Pacific coastline of Mexico and the only salvation for this area is most of the rains came in the late afternoons and nights that allowed some of the boats to get out to the fishing grounds. This past week was the very first time in our history of reporting that no offshore fish were caught and while there were only a total of 7 offshore days fished, we still logged in zero catch for the week. One inshore fishing day on the super panga, "Anzuelo III" reflected limits of dorado for the anglers and that was the good news for the week. We had 2 days of port closures and bad weather conditions caused mostly by local inclement weather and residual swell conditions from the passing of Hurricane Marie as she plowed her way up the line and remained about 400 miles offshore.
Mazatlan Climate: Air temp currently ranging from 76 nights to 91 daytime highs and an 84% humidity level. There is an 80% chance for rain predicted from Friday, August 29th through Friday, September 5th, and while most of the rains at this time of year are mostly in the afternoons and evenings, there will surely be some daytime rains to deal with for the next week.
Sea Conditions: There were a couple of days of port closures due to adverse weather & sea conditions due to Hurricane Marie. Sea temps holding near 87 degrees from inshore to offshore and the current surface breezes flowing in from the southerly directions to about 12 MPH.

A wild week in Cabo San Lucas that was stirred by the offshore presence of Hurricane Marie, a category 5 hurricane, that unquestionably had the citizenry on edge until Marie passed by well offshore and kept on chugging up and out to the northwest. I can share with you, a lot of prayers were answered when this humongous monster of a hurricane remained offshore and finally left the area with nothing more than rain and big swells and more......
