According to Captain Temo Verboonen, there were only a couple of fishable days this past week and just before and once Hurricane Marie went through the area, the seas were unfishable and it was just not safe to be outside the Bay. Temo said, "talked to a couple of anglers that reported a sailfish and striped marlin on one of the fishable days and they also found the roosterfish at Valentin Point, along with some smaller dorados and bonitos. One of the other boats landed a big dorado that checked in at 25 kg., (55 lbs.) and that was a genuine keeper". More and more boats have given up for the season and will be taking their boats out of the water for annual maintenance programs.
