I talked with Armando Gutierrez, (the Marina & Fleet Manager of the El Cid Marina) this morning and learned they were having telephone line problems and computer problems in their area, making it more difficult to get through and almost impossible to get fish reports out. They are working on the problems and hope to have them solved before the weekend, having everything back to normal. He said they would try to get a fish report out on a different computer system but was not sure it would happen. In the interim, he did say that everything else was in great shape and that the fish are biting. We talked briefly about the area's weather and he said it continues to be excellent and added, "don't even mention the word, Hurricane. We haven't had one this year and we don't need one. Everyone here is sympathetic to the people in Cabo San Lucas and clearly understand what hurricanes can do to toss an area completely upside down". Then, he added, "the fishing is very good with a few sailfish still in the areas and lots of variety for both, surface action and bottom fish and the weather remains near perfect for this time of year.

PM Climate: Near perfect weather throughout the area with lots of sunshine and mixed clouds and light, tropical breezes providing air temps that varied from 73 nights to 88 daytime highs and a 79% humidity level.

Sea Conditions: Sea temps stable at 85 degrees from Cancun to Cozumel area. Light surface breezes that ranged from 5-13 mph, flowing in from the easterly directions.

Best Bait: The ballyhoo availability continues to be the perfect bait for this area and is supplied daily on a freshly caught basis for all of the sportfishers.
