The mixed bag catch continues at Puerto Morelos

Another exceptional fishing week from the Marina El Cid Sportfishing Fleet in Puerto Morelos, Mexico, continuing with the wide spectrum mixed bag catches that spanned some 13 species of fish. The giant Atlantic barracuda were pretty active this past week and produced some fish that checked in at 40 lbs.,(plus-minus). The overall fish counts for a total of 25 outings reflected 29 giant Atlantic barracuda, 8 dorado, 39 bonito, 4 wahoo, 2 Spanish mackerel, 2 rainbow runners, 1 amberjack, 6 soap fish, 10 strawberry fish, 8 trigger fish, 3 grouper and 8 snappers, (both red snappers and yellowtail snappers).

PM Climate: Partly cloudy but pleasant days and cool evenings with temps that varied from 59 nights to 84 daytime highs.

Sea Conditions: Water temps are holding very well at 82 degrees throughout the entire area from Cancun to Cozumel

Best Bait: The always available ballyhoo continue to be the "hot ticket" item for all the fish from this area.

Bait Supply: Excellent bait supply continues in this area with an excellent fresh caught bait supply for the sportfishing operations.
