We have another good fishing report from Captain Temo Verboonen for Zihuatanejo, and while he says it isn't quite as good as the week before, there is still plenty of billfish action for the offshore anglers and a wide scattering of the dorado that are being caught from inshore to offshore waters. "We had reports of a couple of smaller blue marlin taken, both in the 225-250 lb. ranges, taken in the sailfish area out to the south of the Bay. The inshore action is providing many jack crevalle and big Sierras by Guamilule Point, just before Valentin area. The roosterfish are hiding, albeit, we did find a few of them in the 20-30 lb. range that did bite. Adding to the good fishing is the terrific weather of clear and sunny days.

IZ Climate: Excellent overall weather right now with temps that ranged from a very comfortable 67 nights to 89 daytime highs, all with clear, sunny skies. Humidity level at 70%.

Sea Conditions: Very stable sea temps at 85 degrees all over. Light tropical surface breezes from flat calm mornings to about 8 mph mid day. Calm seas, great weather and terrific fishing. Blue water starts just outside the entrance to the Bay.

Best Fishing Area: The billfish have moved a little farther to the south of the Bay entrance from where they had been over the past couple of weeks and seem to be back on the move a little but still willing to bite.

Best Bait/Lures: The billfish biting best on the rigged trolling baits with the blue marlin taking artificials. Dorado are scattered, (no concentrations) but biting on both, rigged baits and artificials, from close in to offshore areas.

Bait Supply: Excellent bait supply for both, freshly caught baits for trolling, provided with the charters and live bait, provided at $5.00 per dozen.
