One of the lucky areas of Mexico that actually had terrific fishing weather for most of the week, only to turn up-side-down for the weekend, both Saturday & Sunday, with wet weather the order of both days. However, it has also been one of the slower weeks for charter fishing and we only reflect 13 outings for the fleet. Very unusual for this area was the slowness for the fishing results, too, and a surprisingly small variety of fish were landed that included 1 sailfish, 7 bonito, 6 giant barracuda, 2 needle fish, 1 pilot fish, 2 chac-chi, 12 snappers, 7 banana fish, 18 triggerfish and 15 grouper.
PM Climate: The week was good climate conditions that unfortunately changed for the weekend's anglers.
Sea Conditions: Like the other ports, we also had a port closure day due to adverse weather. Sea temps holding at 84-85 degrees. Surface breezes ranged from nearly calm to 12 mph and flowing in from the easterly directions.
Best Bait: The always famous and always available ballyhoo continues to be the bait of choice for the anglers and the boat crews. Rigging baits are provided gratis with each charter.
