Many of the sportfishers received minor to major damage from Hurricane Odile and we know that the "Fish Cabo" lost one window and that the Gaviota Fleet had some minor damage to bow pulpits and stainless steel railings, but overall, the boats fared very well given the strength of Odile. At this time, we are waiting to see when the Port Captain will lift the Port Closure and allow the boats to go fishing. We do not expect to have a fish report for the past week due to the lack of electricity and computer access, but sould that change, we will update the information. We were able to obtain some satellite information as to water temperatures but nothing on current sea surface conditions. However, I would assume it remains completely unfishable for a few days if only from the residual effects of the storm.


Sea Temp Conditions: On the Pacific side, from the Golden Gate Bank to Cristobal Ridge, temps stable at 85. From Cristobal Ridge to Chileno, temps rise to 86 and from the 95 Fathom Spot on to Gorda Banks and into the Sea of Cortez, temps are 88-89 degrees.
